Returns & Refunds Policy
At Tech2Spec, we want you to be thrilled with your high-end PC components. This policy outlines your rights and our process for returns and refunds, fully compliant with UK law including the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and Consumer Rights Act 2015.
1. Change of Mind (Cooling-Off Period – Distance Sales)
For online purchases, you have a statutory right to cancel and return most items if you change your mind.
• Notify us within 14 days starting from the day after you (or your recipient) receive the goods.
• You then have a further 14 days from notification to return the item(s).
• Items must be unused, in original packaging, with all seals, tags, accessories, and protective materials intact.
• For sealed electronics and PC hardware (e.g., SSDs, RAM, CPUs, GPUs), breaking the seal may affect eligibility for change-of-mind returns due to hygiene, safety, and manufacturer warranty rules — we assess case-by-case, and full refunds may not apply if the seal is broken.
• Return shipping is your responsibility for change-of-mind returns (use tracked postage for safety).
• We refund the full purchase price (excluding any original shipping costs) once we receive and inspect the item(s). Refunds process to your original payment method within 7–14 working days of receipt.
2. Faulty, Damaged, Incorrect, or Not as Described Items
If goods arrive faulty, damaged, incorrect, or not matching the description:
• Contact us as soon as possible (ideally within 30 days of delivery) to report the issue.
• Under your statutory rights:
• Within 30 days of receipt: You can reject the item for a full refund (including original shipping costs) or request a repair/replacement.
• After 30 days (up to 6 years in some cases): We follow statutory remedies — repair or replacement first, then price reduction or refund if not possible.
• We cover return shipping costs for faulty/damaged/incorrect items (provide photos/proof of issue; we’ll arrange collection or provide instructions).
• Refunds or replacements processed promptly once we receive and verify the item.
3. Non-Returnable Items
Change-of-mind returns do not apply to:
• Items where the seal has been broken and the product is no longer in resaleable condition (standard for PC components to prevent counterfeits/damage).
• Opened software, digital downloads, or consumables.
• Custom/personalised items (if offered in future).
4. How to Return or Report an Issue
1. Email us at [your email, e.g., [email protected]] with your order number, reason (change of mind/faulty/etc.), and photos if applicable.
2. We’ll confirm authorisation, provide a returns address (Lowestoft area, UK), and any labels/instructions if needed.
3. Package securely in original or equivalent packaging and send tracked (Royal Mail recommended).
4. Once received and inspected, we process your refund, repair, or replacement quickly.
5. Important Notes
• All returns must be pre-authorised by us — unauthorised returns may be refused or delayed.
• We reserve the right to refuse/refund partially if items are not returned in the stated condition.
